The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide top-notch care to all, regardless of financial status. Our comprehensive services include counseling, case management, psychosocial support, and medication management, all conveniently available at one location. We strive to offer holistic care to our clients. Compensation and Benefits for ACT Peer Support Specialist:

• Competitive base hourly rate of $21.13 to $23.54 based on experience.
• Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00am-5:00pm, on-call rotation required.

Primary Responsibilities for ACT Peer Support Specialist:

• Empower consumers to make independent choices and play an active role in their treatment.
• Help consumers recognize and manage triggers that lead to functional impairments.
• Support consumers in setting personal recovery goals.
• Provide training and coaching on positive life management techniques.

Minimum Qualifications for ACT Peer Support Specialist:

EDUCATION:

Required: * Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: * Some post-high school education in Human Services.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Personal experience as a former primary consumer of behavioral healthcare services.
• No psychiatric hospital admissions for at least one year.
