Prepare incoming and outgoing mail for distribution. Loads and unloads mail containers. May move equipment and operate motorized vehicles for the purpose of transporting mail.
This is a split schedule. Mon - Thurs, 3am - 6am and 9pm - 12am. Friday, 6am-9am and 9pm-12am.Responsibilities
- Reviews, verifies, and scans mail and freight. Ensures mail is in suitable condition for processing.
- Safely operates vehicles for the purpose of loading/unloading mail.
- Lifts and unloads containers of mail or parcels onto equipment for transport.
- Builds and breaks down mail and freight.
- Removes containers of sorted mail or parcels and transfers them to designated areas according to established procedures.
- Accepts and checks containers of mail or parcels from large volume mailers, couriers, and contractors.Minimum Requirements
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Warehouse Agent Learning Plan
- Postal Training
- TSA - Cargo Security Awareness
- FAA - Dangerous Goods AwarenessPreferred Skills
- Attention to detail: The ability to process detailed information effectively and consistently.
- Focus on Quality: Setting high quality standards and striving for continuous improvement and to secure quality.
- Situation awareness: Has and gains insight into situations, problems and processes.
- Deconstructs problems and systematically investigates the various components.
- Has a complete picture of the context and overview of the whole problem
