Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: Develop and review I&C system designs, specifications, and technical documents for nuclear plant systems. Support modifications and upgrades to analog and digital control systems. Perform system analyses, failure investigations, and recommend corrective actions. Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of I&C systems during construction or operation phases. Ensure designs meet nuclear regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., NRC, IAEA, IEEE, IEC, ISA). Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, software, safety) throughout project lifecycles. Support licensing activities and respond to regulatory agency inquiries or audits. Contribute to cybersecurity and human-machine interface (HMI) considerations in I&C designs. Ensure configuration control and documentation of I&C system changes. Participate in hazard analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and reliability assessments.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Control Systems Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in I&C engineering, with direct involvement in nuclear projects or operations. Familiarity with nuclear plant operations, instrumentation technologies, and safety-critical system design. Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEEE 603, IEC 61513, 10 CFR, NQA-1). Proficiency in control system platforms (DCS, PLCs, SCADA) and instrumentation selection/integration.
