Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to support the WM Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center at 6439 Garners Ferry Road Columbia, SC 29209. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-7am including call and weekends. Responsibilities - Administer anesthesia and monitor patient care in OR and critical care settings.
- Perform critical care nursing in ICU and ED.
- Complete patient history, assessments, care planning, and documentation.
- Administer medications and IV therapies; respond to emergencies.
- Operate medical equipment (EKG, defibrillator, cardiac monitors, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records and participate in discharge planning.
- Support VA-mandated patient safety, quality assurance, and reporting requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings and training.
Qualifications - Must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job. Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a state, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Perto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Must have a degree in nursing from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate state accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: (a) The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), an accrediting arm of the National League for Nursing; or (b) The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting arm of the American Association of colleges of Nursing (AACN). (c) In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a Certificate from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) will meet the requirement of graduation from approved school of professional nursing. -OR- (2) Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
- Must have AHA BLS and AHA ACLS
- Must have at least one (1) year of direct patient care within the last three (3) years.
- DEA Registration Preferred
- Must have Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nurse Anesthesia from accredited program
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation.
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
