Job Description

Our client, a commercial litigation boutique in Denver , is seeking a contract att orney w ith at least four years of litigation experience . This candidate will ideally have a commercial litigation background with experience in medical malpractice . The role requires strong drafting skills, experience with e-discovery platforms, and the ability to analyze complex information to contribute to case strategy. You will have the opportunity to assist with trial preparation and second chair, while working in a collaborative, supportive , and non-hierarchical work environment.   • Hybrid: 4 days in-office per week

  • Location: RINO District

  • Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, including a 15-minute daily huddle; minimum 25 hours per week ( likely more depending on case needs)

Must-Haves:

  • Strong, heavy drafting skills, including motions for summary judgment, pre-trial motions (e.g., pocket briefs), and jury instructions

  • Experience with document review and e-discovery platforms (DISCO preferred)

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize large volumes of information to identify key issues and contribute to case strategy

  • Strong big-picture thinking with the ability to connect details to overall case objectives

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, including attorneys, paralegals, and clerks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical malpractice practice experience preferred

  • Clerkship experience, particularly in trial courts, providing an understanding of the full life cycle of a case

  • Prior experience second-chairing at trial and conducting witness examinations

  • Demonstrated ability to support case strategy development beyond legal research and drafting

  • Familiarity with trial preparation, including jury instructions and evidentiary motions
