Role Focus
This Data Engineer role blends technical ownership with cross-functional collaboration:
- 40% Azure-based pipeline development and optimization
- 30% Power BI dashboard maintenance and enhancement
- 30% Business analysis and stakeholder engagement across departments
What You’ll Do
🔧 Pipelines (40%)
- Design, build, and maintain ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Dagster
- Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost
- Administer Azure SQL and support integrations with D365 and external APIs
Dashboards (30%)
- Modify and maintain 30+ Power BI dashboards across sales, operations, engineering, and finance
- Build semantic models using DAX, star schemas, and Microsoft Fabric
- Tune performance and enable self-service analytics
Business Analysis (30%)
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate data into actionable insights
- Support cross-functional initiatives with visualizations, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
- Document workflows and test deliverables for accuracy and usability
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of professional data engineering experience
- Advanced SQL (T-SQL), intermediate Python
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric
- Familiarity with D365 Finance & Operations (preferred)
- Strong communication and stakeholder-facing skills
Bonus Skills
- Dagster, dbt/sqlmesh
- Spark SQL or DuckDB
- REST APIs, OAuth2, JSON, OData
- Git version control and collaborative workflows
- Data warehousing best practices (star schemas, SCDs, CDC)
- Azure IAM and app management
