The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into various computer systems and databases from a variety of sources, including handwritten forms, paper documents, and electronic files. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent typing skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently enter data into designated computer systems and databases from various sources.
  • Verify and validate data entered to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and correct any errors or inconsistencies in data.
  • Maintain organized and easily accessible electronic and physical files.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding any data entry issues or concerns.
  • Meet established productivity goals and deadlines.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent typing skills with a minimum speed of 50 words per minute.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in data entry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of data entry best practices and procedures.
  • Experience working with databases and data management systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily an office environment with extended periods of sitting and using a computer.
  • May require occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds.
