About the Job:

Full-Time Day Porter
Property Address : 300 E Barham Dr., San Marcos CA 92078.

Schedule: Monday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 7:30 am - 2:00 pm (32 hours per week ).
Pay: $17.25 per hour.
Weekly Pay.

Day Porter Qualifications:

• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Meet the physical requirements: constantly walking, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching over the shoulder, lifting, and carrying.
• Constant weight – 1-35 lbs. Occasional weight – 36-50 lbs.

Day Porter General function:

• Pick up trash as needed and empty trash receptacles.
• Perform cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning cobwebs, wiping down surfaces, restroom cleaning, etc.
• Clean exterior surfaces of windows, windowsills, and doors.
• Remove and/or clean up any debris or soil such as stickers, chewing gum, coffee spills, graffiti, etc.
• Continuously walk the property to inspect all public areas for cleanliness.
• Notify the supervisor in case there is a need for repairs.
• Required to always wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which includes gloves, goggles, safety vest, and any other safety equipment that the task requires.

Requirements

The Ideal Day Porter:

• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to identify and manage priorities.
• Ability to complete the physical requirements of the job.
• Day porter/janitor/custodian experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant need (100% during production time) to be on foot.
• Ability to bend/stoop/squat/kneel.
• Climb stairs.
• Push, pull, and reach over the shoulder.
• Grasp and grip.
• Lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
