Overview:Saddlebrook Preparatory School is looking for a certified Elementary/Middle School teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The Middle School program is a self-contained classroom that hosts international students of various academic abilities. The position requires the instructor be knowledgeable to teach Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies courses for 3rd through 8th grade. Year to year may vary depending on the grade levels of the students enrolled.
Saddlebrook Prep School is located on the beautiful grounds of Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida. SPS is an international college preparatory school, serving boarding and non-boarding student-athletes that come from 18 different nations around the world. Our students also participate in world-class athletic training in either golf or tennis. Saddlebrook Prep students are 100% college bound, with many earning academic and athletic scholarships to their chosen universities. This position’s work agreement is from August 25, 2025 to June 10, 2026.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Middle School Content Areas
· Holds professional certification in Elementary/Middle Grades: English, Math, Science, or Social Science (History)
· Previous ESOL training or ESOL certification and able to assist students in a 1:1 capacity
· 3+ Years of Elementary and/or Middle school teaching experience
· Instructional Rating of “Effective”, or higher, on previous performance evaluations
· Previous experience with Common Core State Standards
· Technologically competent (Microsoft Suite)
· Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and highly-organized
· Works well in a team environment
Highly Desired Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Elementary/Secondary Education or Middle School Content Areas
· Holds Florida professional teaching certification in Middle Grades: English, Math, Science, or Social Science
· 5+ years of previous teaching experience with 5th through 8th graders
· Previously employed in a public or private school
· Experience with IEP/504 accommodations
· Experience with PBL approaches and providing differentiated instruction for students
· Previous teaching experience using various forms of technology
· Experience chairing school committees and/or presenting professional development to staff
· Experience with thematic and interdisciplinary instruction – lessons, activities, and projects
· Meets or exceeds teaching credentials required by FCIS and Cognia
