The emergency medicine physician assistant (PA) provides high-quality, patient-centered medical care in a fast-paced emergency department (ED) setting. The PA evaluates, diagnoses, and manages acute and emergent conditions across all age groups while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. We are seeking a physician assistant with emergency medicine experience only.

Opportunity Overview:

• Perform comprehensive and focused histories and physical examinations on patients presenting to the ED
• Formulate differential diagnoses and implement appropriate diagnostic workups
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, EKGs, and other diagnostic tools
• Provide initial stabilization and management of emergent conditions including respiratory distress, cardiac events, trauma, sepsis, and altered mental status
• Perform emergency procedures such as: laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting and casting, joint reductions, and more!
• Initiate and manage treatment plans, including medications, IV fluids, and other therapies
• Collaborate with supervising/emergency physicians and consulting services as needed
• Document all patient encounters clearly and efficiently in the electronic medical record
