Entry Level Field Service Electrical Engineer

Location :

The Field Service Engineer position will require being within a driving distance to Sandy Lake, PA (Relocation assistance available).

Compensation :

The positon will have a salary commensurate with experience + Straight time for overtime hours worked. People usually earn an additional $3-10K per year with overtime pay. The position is exempt, but they like to compensate their employees when they have to work overtime. Additionally, this position will receive salary increases every 6 months for the first two years.

The Entry Level Field Service Electrical Engineer position will support field service requirements of products and systems, including installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, test, and start-up. The position has a potential growth path to a design engineer role in the 2-3 year horizon. Responsibilities :

• Meet Customer field start-up requirements for products or systems associated with the sales order entry package or warranty
• Direct Customer or contractor personnel in proper installation and start-up of equipment as required
• Train Customer personnel in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment as required
• Troubleshooting and data collection on equipment both in the field and in system test
• Prepare written trip reports.
• Support systems testing during the Manufacturing process to include hardware and software design verification according to the test plan.
• Support products set-up, testing, preventative maintenance, and repair as assigned.
• Travel requirements will be as high as 60% - 75%
• Travel requirements will include international assignments

• Communicate with other departments in support of company goals
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology required. Course of study in power electronics beneficial.
• Experience in electrical engineering and/or electronics. Entry level candidates will also be considered.
• Ability to work in an industrial plant environment and move throughout the plant or customer sites
• Ability and willingness to travel on short notice
• Ability to operate: computer controls; microprocessors; testing equipment; hand tools
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to hear, see, see color, climb steps and ladders, lift objects weighing 44 lbs, use both hands, and talk
