• Patient Volume/Census: 12/day (in hospital).
• Admissions: Yes.
• Rounding: Included.
• Case Mix: Gastroenterology.

FACILITY INFORMATION:

• No. of Beds in Department: 219 (hospital bed size).
• EMR System: Cerner.
• Specialty Backup Available: Yes – including RN, NP, anesthesia, etc.
• Support Staff Available: Full hospital support staff.
• Reason for Coverage: 24/7 ongoing coverage.

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes.
• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes – Emergency privileges available within a week.
• Credentialing Timeline: Less than one week with clean file.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Rate: TBD.
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance.

REQUIRED PROCEDURES:

• Emergent procedures only.
• EUS preferred.
• ERCP preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Licenses: Active PA license required, IMLC accepted.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Experience: Not specified.
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency in Cerner EMR.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:;

• Provide 24-hour gastroenterology call coverage.
• Manage inpatient gastroenterology consults and emergencies.
• Perform emergent procedures when required.
• Collaborate with hospital staff including RNs, NPs, and specialists.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR.
