Golang Developer

Rate: $55-$60/hr on a W2, Ongoing Contract, Remote

Del Oro Consulting, a nationwide consulting firm with over 20 years of experience providing strategic solutions to leading global technology companies in the U.S., is looking for a highly skilled Golang Developer to support our client, a major tech industry leader. The ideal candidate is a Golang expert with a proven track record of building efficient, scalable data extraction and processing solutions. This role requires both independent problem-solving and the ability to collaborate effectively on complex projects while adhering to best coding practices. Experience with AI/ML and cloud platforms like AWS is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design: Play a key role in architectural design, contributing to the overall technical vision and strategy.
• Service Development: Write and maintain Golang services focused on ETL processes, document processing, and database updates to support data-driven applications.
• Web Scraping & Data Processing: Develop and maintain web scraping tools and data processing scripts, ensuring efficient and reliable data extraction and transformation.
• Pipeline Optimization: Build and optimize web scraping solutions and data processing pipelines to manage information effectively.
• Code Quality: Develop high-quality, well-structured Golang code, prioritizing clarity, efficiency, and maintainability.
• Feature Enhancement: Collaborate with the team to conceptualize, develop, and enhance features that improve system performance and scalability.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical challenges and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Innovation: Research and incorporate emerging technologies and best practices to enhance project capabilities and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Golang Expertise: Strong understanding of Golang programming with experience in object-relational mapping (ORM) libraries and best practices.
• ETL & Document Processing: Experience in building ETL processes and document processing solutions using Golang.
• Web Scraping: Proven experience in web scraping and data extraction, utilizing industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Database Management: Hands-on experience with NoSQL data stores, including MongoDB, and experience with database update processes.
• AI/ML & Cloud Integration: Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and cloud platforms like AWS (preferred), with the ability to integrate them into solutions.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
• Team Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a software developer with a focus on Golang.
• Demonstrated experience in AI-related projects (preferred).

• Work Arrangement: Remote
• Rate: $55-$60/hour
• Contract: Ongoing
