• We require a portfolio for all interviews
• Focus: primarily virtual instructor-led scripts, secondarily job aids/videos

Job Description :
The Sr. Instructional Designer (ID) is a key role within DaVita's IT Learning & Development team. The Sr. Designer works collaboratively with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, program owners, and other learning professionals to design and develop innovative learning solutions that leverage a combination of learning modalities to maximize the learner experience, learning effectiveness, and business impact. The Sr. ID leverages instructional design techniques to author in-person, virtual, and eLearning content. This position uses their expertise to create original content and provides consultation on adult learning best practices while mentoring junior designers.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Essential Function

Partners with Program Owners & Business Leaders to select best learning modalities and design technical/professional learning solutions that drive capability development and business outcomes.

Develops medium to high complexity learning experiences (e.g., ILT, VILT, eLearning, performance support, video, etc.) to address capability gaps.

Provides consultation to Village learning teams on best practices for creating learning experiences and leveraging standards/templates.

15%

Required Skills :

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or progressively responsible work experience
• 6 to 8 years of instructional design experience
• Advanced proficiency with eLearning/video tools (Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate 360)
• Advanced proficiency with graphic/audio tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audacity, Audition)
• Strong instructional design experience including eLearning, needs assessment, stakeholder collaboration
• Experience designing training using adult learning theory and methodologies
• Solid project management skills including planning, tracking, and multitasking
• Experience working on virtual teams
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Skills :

• Master's Degree
• Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)
• Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD)
• ATD Master Instructional Designer
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript Nice to have
