Job Description

Salary: $105,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree in Engineering or an equivalent foreign degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with gas or steam turbine operations is required.
  • Familiarity with medium gas turbine (Finspang units) component design and service is advantageous, alongside a solid grounding in rotating machinery, manufacturing processes, and mechanical engineering.
  • Expertise in control systems (Siemens PCS7, Siemens T3000), SAP, and overall digital proficiency is necessary, with experience in auxiliaries and package design related to medium gas turbines being advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate remotely (both internally and externally) are crucial, in addition to effective verbal and written communication skills; approximately 5% domestic travel is expected.
  • Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States without the requirement for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Responsibilities:
  • Create service-engineered solutions to fulfill product line specifications for medium gas turbine (SGT 600-800) services and outages.
  • Tackle urgent field service challenges to meet client needs for the Finpang-based units (SGT600-800) within the Distributed Engineering group.
  • Offer engineering assistance for ongoing outages via direct engagement with field service teams and by providing technical support for outage planning in collaboration with local project managers.
  • Design and execute modifications for service bulletin procedures across the existing fleet.
