Job Description:

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Senior MuleSoft Developer to support ongoing development and maintenance of mission-critical applications such as LINK and IV-E, and contribute to the transition to the new Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) . This role involves working on complex SOA integration initiatives and collaborating with System Integrators on knowledge transfer and SDLC processes.

Specialty Areas:

  • MuleSoft Development & Integration – Build, maintain, and support MuleSoft APIs and interfaces, especially those integrated with Salesforce.

  • SOA & API Design – Strong background in Service-Oriented Architecture and reusable enterprise service development.

  • Salesforce & Application Integration – Experience working with Salesforce applications and data exchanges via MuleSoft.

  • Full SDLC Participation – Engage in all project phases, including requirements, design, development, testing, and support.

  • Technical Leadership – Mentor team members, review code, and work closely with management for planning and architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop MuleSoft API solutions and interface integrations with Salesforce.

  • Maintain and support MuleSoft processes in production.

  • Create and manage data exchanges; migrate legacy systems into modern platforms.

  • Work across all SDLC phases and document technical requirements and artifacts.

  • Participate in planning, quality assurance, and deployment activities.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.

  • Work with System Integrator to ensure successful implementation of the new SACWIS system.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across applications and systems.

  • Support version control and DevOps practices (Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps).

  • Implement and enforce enterprise integration and SOA design patterns.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Self-starter capable of driving tasks from requirements to delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure Service Bus .

  • Strong database development skills (SQL Server).

  • Familiarity with legacy system integration .

  • Experience working in state/federal environments (especially in human services or child welfare domains).
