Outpatient Quality Review Nurse Location Hermiston, OR : Overview:

Under the supervision of the Quality Director, the Outpatient Quality Review Nurse, coordinates, and performs daily activities to maintain and improve the quality of healthcare to include medical record reviews with an emphasis on identification of opportunities for system and process improvements. The Outpatient Quality Review Nurse focuses primarily on the clinics associated with the Good Shepherd Medical Group. Responsibilities: This role is responsible for providing support to the Good Shepherd Medical Group (GSMG) Practice Managers and overseeing quality improvement activities for these clinics. The focus of this role is on quality measures and programs such as MIPS, Medicaid, and EOCCO clinical quality measures. In addition, providing education to providers and staff is an important component. In collaboration with the Quality Management Director, the Outpatient Quality Review Nurse produces reports addressing variances from established standards, identifies significant data trends, outlier values, or unusual data for additional review by physicians, clinical staff and/or leadership. This role is responsible for coordinating performance improvement projects and standardizing processes to ensure patient safety and improve outcomes. The Outpatient Quality Coordinator assists in customer experience activities such as complaints and service excellence responsibilities. Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION:
    • Required: Minimum of associate degree in nursing.
    • Desired: Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field. Previous Quality/process improvement experience.
  • EXPERIENCE:
    • Desired: Experience in Quality Management, specifically process improvement and quality measures. Current Oregon RN license Required . Two years experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:
    • Desired: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • REQUIRED SKILLS: Understanding of basic functions of a computer network. Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel). Excellent telephone etiquette skills, communication skills, and customer service skills. Fax machine and copier experience.
