Summary Common Ground is looking for an assistant teacher to join our preschool program. This teacher could have experience as either a lead or an assistant, but will be joining a team with dynamic and exceptional lead teachers who handle the curriculum and planning, but needs partners to make sure that the afternoons have the same quality care and education as the mornings! Our preschool program is a mixed age program with children ages 3, 4, and 5 using the new STREAMin3 curriculum.
The hours are 2pm to 6pm.
Duties Working as part of a team in a preschool classroom, supporting the lead teachers when they are there and taking the role of leader, with the other assistants in their absence.
Adhering to licensing standards and best practices in quality early childhood education.
Requirements - ability to pass the required background checks
- a love of working with young children
- a positive attitude
- reliable transportation
- the ability to carry a 50 pound child short distances
- ability to work regular hours until 6pm, Monday through Friday.
