Job Title: Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Location: Hackensack, NJ
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12hr shifts/week)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff in delivering high-quality care to patients in a busy hospital unit. This role plays an essential part in enhancing patient safety, comfort, and well-being by providing basic bedside care and support services.
Key Responsibilities:Welcome patients and verify identification.
Prepare patients for assessment, physical exams, and procedures.
Perform EKGs and phlebotomy (IV and capillary draws) across all age groups.
Maintain and restock supplies and ensure cleanliness of patient environment.
Assist patients with feeding, personal hygiene, toileting, and mobility.
Transport patients to other departments as required.
Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, glucose levels, and daily weights.
Collect and label specimens following aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Promptly respond to call lights and alert RNs to changes in patient condition.
Provide culturally and developmentally appropriate care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical personnel.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience as a PCT or CNA in a hospital setting is strongly preferred .
Required:
Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association .
Certification as a CNA , CMA , or PCT , which includes Phlebotomy , EKG , and nursing assistant training (theoretical and clinical).
