About this Role:

The role of the Payroll and Archive Processor is to provide support services for the Financial Management Division of DHCS. This includes processing payroll warrants, distributing Salary Advance checks and Travel Advance checks, printing Revolving Fund checks using the check writer and check signer, preparing monthly Salary Advance, Office Revolving Fund, and Bank reconciliations, providing mailroom services, archiving of accounting records, and maintaining Service Center and reception area.

Working Conditions

This role requires daily in-office attendance.

DHCS is situated in midtown Sacramento on the second floor of a professional office building. Typical work requires prolonged sitting using a computer, calculator, and telephone, and interaction with co-workers and outside vendors. It’s conveniently located directly across from the scenic Capitol Park and State Capitol with access to public transportation, ample parking options, close to numerous restaurants and grocery stores for your convenience.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in reconciliation.
  • Experience in FI$Cal submodules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal programs/divisions/units and external staff and agencies.
