About Us:
We’re a child-focused, walk-in urgent care clinic open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and 10 AM to 7 PM on weekends . Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality care for infants, children, and adolescents in a warm and supportive environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time PNP or PA with strong pediatric experience to join our care team. This clinical position involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute pediatric conditions, performing minor procedures, and ensuring a positive experience for both patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct urgent care services to pediatric patients with acute illnesses or minor injuries.
- Perform physical exams, develop treatment plans, and prescribe appropriate medications.
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., wound care, suturing, splinting, foreign body removal).
- Educate families on diagnoses, treatments, and at-home care.
- Document all patient encounters thoroughly in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and family-friendly clinical environment.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted license in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Certification as a PNP or PA with 1+ years of pediatric experience (urgent care, ER, or primary care preferred).
- Skilled in common pediatric procedures and clinical decision-making.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work part-time shifts, including evenings and weekends within our operating hours.
Preferred:
- Experience in pediatric urgent care or emergency settings.
- Familiarity with pediatric coding and EHR systems.
