Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician / Prescription Processing Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the processing and fulfillment of prescription orders for our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and fulfill prescription orders accurately and efficiently
- Verify prescription information and ensure all necessary documentation is complete
- Communicate with customers and healthcare providers to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of prescription orders and inventory levels
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies regarding prescription processing
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the pharmacy department
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy Technician certification or license preferred
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or prescription processing role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process and manage large volumes of prescriptions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and computer systems
- Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
