Job Responsibilities
- Craft and own the vision and strategy for user research at HS1
- Guide and mentor designers, empowering them to deliver impactful insights
- Define best practices and research frameworks across teams
- Conduct and champion in-depth customer research to understand user pain points and drive informed product decisions
- Collaborate across design, product, and engineering to translate insights into action
- Facilitate design thinking workshops and cross-team initiatives
- Help shape team culture and operations as we continue to grow
Requirements
- 9+ years in product/UX design, with a strong focus on UX research and usability testing
- Proven track record of turning research insights into business outcomes
- Experience owning and leading research strategy aligned with product goals
- Familiarity with the full design lifecycle, from discovery to delivery
- Deep customer empathy and a passion for solving real-world problems
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder collaboration skills
- A mentoring mindset; experience guiding or managing other designers
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, or Adobe CC
- Bonus: Background in healthcare, medical, or dental industries
- Preferred: Accessibility knowledge or certification
