Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee and manage financial activities for construction projects, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with budgets. Responsibilities: - Set up and maintain budgets for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals. - Monitor and analyze project expenditures to identify and address any discrepancies or variances. - Process and reconcile financial transactions, including vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and payroll allocations. - Prepare and manage billing processes for construction projects, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. - Oversee construction draws and ensure compliance with financial guidelines and timelines. - Manage and track lien waivers to ensure proper documentation for project payments. - Collaborate with project managers and teams to provide financial support and ensure alignment with budgetary goals. - Assist in the preparation of month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries for project-related accounts. Requirements - Proven experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting. - Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles. - Proficiency in creating and posting journal entries accurately and efficiently. - Experience in account reconciliation, ensuring financial records are balanced and accurate. - Ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. - Familiarity with construction billing processes, including draws and lien waivers. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams and vendors.
