Job Description

Highland Consulting Group is a National Executive Recruiting firm that specializes in recruiting top performers in the construction industry. 

We are working with a well-established General Contractor in the Philadelphia, PA area that has an immediate need for a seasoned Project Manager . Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager overseeing commercial and institutional construction projects of $10 million dollars or more. This position works ground up and fit out projects from award to closeout.  Little travel is required since most work is within a reasonable commute.  

Key responsibilities:  

• Manage and supervise all phases of assigned projects.
• Prepare and manage schedules.
• Estimate and negotiate change orders and maintain change order logs
• Manage project budgets and approves all expenses
• Contract Administration
• Buyout of subcontracts & Equipment
• Interface with the owner on all projects assigned
• Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents
• Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with Superintendents and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors
• Stay in contact with past clients for repeat work

Requirements:  

• 5+ years of managing commercial new build and improvement construction projects from award to close.
• Experience establishing timelines and budgets and negotiating change orders.
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
• Bachelor degree is desired but not required - Candidates with a strong construction background will be strongly considered.
