Position Overview: We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary team and help deliver high-quality psychiatric care to our clients 4-7 hours per week, remotely.
- The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic support for adults with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders.
- This role works collaboratively with an integrated team of counselors, social workers, and medical professionals to ensure holistic, coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric and co-occurring disorders
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with clinical and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide ongoing medication management and patient education to support adherence and recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
Qualifications: - Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current and active Nurse Practitioner license and PMHNP certification in [State]
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in psychiatry, behavioral health, or substance use treatment settings preferred
- Strong diagnostic and medication management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
