Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU (Rotating Days)
Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week | Rotating Dayshifts | Occasional weekends & holidays | On-call required
Travel Rate: $2,873.50/week
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will provide safe, high-quality, and comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical patients, while also serving as a charge nurse and resource to the team. This role requires strong critical thinking, clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and care plans.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with hospital standards.
Perform charge nurse duties, supervising and supporting nursing staff.
Utilize electronic medical record systems efficiently for documentation and communication.
Participate in staff meetings, education sessions, and patient care assessment committees.
Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection-control standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
Represent the organization with professionalism and confidentiality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current RN license in Massachusetts.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams.
Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
BSN preferred.
Skilled in IV starts, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator care.
Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within last 5 years) in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER, or SDC/PACU; PACU/SDC experience preferred.
