**Job Title: Resident Care Assistant Midnights

**Location: Rivercrest Place Assisted Living

**Job Type: Full-Time

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistant to join our team at Rivercrest Place Assisted Living. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing essential support and care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Resident Care Assistant, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote a positive living environment, and contribute to their overall quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance and support with physical activities, including transferring residents from beds to wheelchairs.
- Monitor and document residents’ health and behavior, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Help residents with meals, including serving food and ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to hygiene and infection control protocols.
- Assist with medication reminders and other health-related tasks as directed by supervisory staff.
- Foster respectful and trusting relationships with residents, families, and team members.
- Participate in training and continuing education to stay current on best practices in resident care.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare settings.
- Understanding of basic human needs and elder care principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to resident care.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving residents.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

**Working Conditions:**
- This position may require shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to assist residents.
