Primary  Responsibilities:

Below are some of the core responsibilities of a store manager; however, the total scope of responsibilities goes beyond these highlights into all aspects of successfully running a store the CHAAR way.

• Take on all aspects related to running our store including conflict resolution, problem solving, and goal attainment.
• Ensure your team’s success in achieving positive results in sales and customer service
• Maintain store cleanliness and product displays
• Foster and improve customer relationships
• Achieve store sales targets
• Hire, train, and manage staff
• Devise innovative solutions to business challenges

Qualifications:

The store manager position requires a strong set of skills in problem solving, critical thinking, prioritization, and excellent communication and follow through. Skills such as strategic use of empathy and non-verbal cues are highly valuable. Some of the basic qualifications are as follows:

• 3+ years of related work experience in retail sales & customer service
• Excellent interpersonal and motivation skills
• GED/High School Diploma required
• Strong work ethic and a desire to work with others
• Good time management and prioritization skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication
• Excellent customer service attitude and skills
• Available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business

Compensation:

We offer a competitive pay structure with bonus opportunities and benefits including holidays and vacation pay, medical and dental coverage and a 401K company match retirement plan.  We offer family oriented retail operating hours.

Pay range: $39k - 55K/year

Founded in 2001, Chaar is a family owned retail business with four locations in the Greater Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania looking to expand to a broader area of service. 

We are looking for a STORE MANAGER for a mid-sized neighborhood pet supply store focused on the following lines of business:

• Pet supplies: Premium natural foods & supplies
• Pet Services: Dog grooming
