Career Opportunity: RN – Labor & Delivery Nurse  

Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326 
Assignment Type: 13-Week Contract | Local or Travel 
Shift:  Rotating Shifts

Role Description  
The Labor & Delivery RN will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers and infants during childbirth. This role emphasizes safety, education, and teamwork to ensure a positive birthing experience for every family. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery 

• Monitor mothers and infants, documenting assessments and interventions 

• Support patients with pain management and labor techniques 

• Collaborate with the OB care team to provide safe and effective care 

• Educate families on newborn care and maternal health after delivery 

• Promote infection prevention and adherence to best nursing practices 

Required Credentials  

• Active RN license in New York State 

• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience (preferred) 

• BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred 

• Strong skills in communication, patient advocacy, and clinical assessment
