Job Description

Description We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this Contract to permanent role, you will oversee complex payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles. This position requires strong technical expertise to perform within deadlines while managing multi-state payroll processes for a large workforce. Responsibilities: - Administer bi-weekly and monthly payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate paycheck distribution. - Maintain and update payroll systems, staying current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. - Monitor compliance with payroll laws and implement best practices to address regulatory changes. - Investigate and resolve complex payroll discrepancies, providing clear solutions to non-routine issues. - Manage multi-state payroll operations for a workforce exceeding 500 employees. - Utilize advanced systems like Oracle Cloud, UKG Ready, and Kronos Timekeeping to streamline payroll functions. - Collaborate with employees to address payroll inquiries and deliver excellent customer service. - Analyze payroll data to identify trends and develop solutions for process improvement. - Ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards within payroll functions. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. - A minimum of 7 years of payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll management. - Proficiency in multi-state payroll processing for large organizations. - Advanced knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance standards. - Expertise in payroll systems such as Oracle Cloud, UKG Ready, and Kronos Timekeeping. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
