Job Description

Position: Senior Workday HCM Functional Consultant

Location: Mount Airy, NC (Remote)

Work Type: C2C only

Experience: 12+ Years

Contract: 3 Months

PETADATA is looking to hire for the position of Senior Workday HCM Functional Consultant, a specialist responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Workday's Human Capital Management (HCM) software. Their role involves working with clients to analyze business requirements, design solutions, and ensure Workday HCM modules align with HR business processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with HR and business stakeholders to understand current HR processes and identify system requirements.

  • Translate business requirements into functional Workday configurations.

  • Configure Workday HCM modules (such as Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting).

  • Participate in Workday implementation projects-design, build, test, and deploy Workday solutions.

  • Create and maintain functional specifications and documentation.

  • Design and execute test scenarios (unit, system, UAT).

  • Support defect resolution and testing cycles.

  • Provide ongoing support post-implementation, including troubleshooting and enhancements.

  • Maintain system configurations and ensure data integrity.

  • Serve as a point of contact for HR, Payroll, IT, and external Workday consultants.

  • Provide training or knowledge transfer to end-users and stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Workday HCM functional configuration.

  • Solid understanding of HR business processes.

  • Knowledge of Workday reporting (e.g., calculated fields, custom reports).

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Workday certification in one or more modules.

  • Experience in full lifecycle Workday implementations.

  • Familiarity with security, business processes, EIBs, or integrations.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, Business, or a related field.
