Staff Accountant/Tax Preparer
Come join our team! A dynamic opportunity exists within our expanding Hinsdale CPA firm seeking a qualified individual to join our professional staff. We are looking for an experienced professional to maintain client financials utilizing QuickBooks and to prepare both corporate and individual income tax returns.
This is a full-time position during tax season with increased hours and Saturdays expected during tax season (40-45 hrs/wk). We are flexible with reduced hours (25-30 hrs/wk) outside of tax season.
Ideal candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent communication and follow-up skills, while being personable and able to work well with both clients and staff.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and accompanying schedules, including necessary journal entries and analysis for completeness and accuracy
· Analysis of general ledger accounts and reconciliation of bank accounts, with appropriate client communication and action to resolve outstanding issues
· Management and completion of quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
· Management and completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns
· Income tax preparation for individuals and small businesses
