Under the general direction of the Regional Mental Health Administrator, the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I, CF is responsible for providing clinical supervision in a mental health or counseling setting, including overseeing and guiding the work through clinical supervision of unlicensed social workers or students. The Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I, CF may be assigned to supervise and train unlicensed social workers or other mental health staff that require clinical oversight. The Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I, CF plays a critical role in monitoring the quality and safety of mental health services provided to CCHCS patients and supporting unlicensed mental health staff's professional growth and development and helps to maintain a strong, established workforce to deliver quality care to patients within CCHCS. The Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I, CF is also responsible for providing direct assistance to institutions, which includes the identification and removal of obstacles to providing mental health services, identification and monitoring of corrective action plans, mentoring staff, and participation in the Quality Management processes. Statewide travel is required with this position.

The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
LICENSE: Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
