Description Immediate opening for a Linux System and Database Administrator to join a growing an online retailer that designs, manufactures and sells affordable products directly to consumers. They have a global team so this individual will work with teams in the US market and China to install, configure, upgrade, and maintain both on-premise and cloud-based databases, ensuring performance, and data consistency. This is a full-time opportunity, working a hybrid schedule. The position offers bonus and full benefits. Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and upgrade database servers and applications for both on-premise and cloud environments. - Create and manage Linux OS configurations, users, groups, and permissions. - Automate system tasks using scripting for improved efficiency. - Design and implement scalable, high-availability solutions with automated failover and load balancing. - Collaborate with development teams to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines. - Document configurations, processes, and disaster recovery protocols for transparency and operational continuity.
