This is a remote position.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Typist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for typing, formatting, and editing documents from audio recordings, handwritten notes, or digital files. The ideal candidate has fast and accurate typing skills, a strong grasp of grammar and spelling, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Type and format documents from written or audio sources
Transcribe audio recordings into written text accurately
Perform data entry tasks, including copying and pasting information into databases or spreadsheets
Proofread and edit typed documents for accuracy, grammar, and formatting
Follow company style guides and formatting standards
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Communicate with supervisors or clients via email, chat, or virtual meetings
High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree is a plus)
Typing speed of at least 50 WPM with high accuracy
Excellent command of English spelling, grammar, and punctuation
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and basic spreadsheet tools
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Access to a reliable computer, internet connection, and headphones
