Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator with a strong background in heavy steel fabrication for industrial applications such as tanks, silos, and structural assemblies . The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical welding and fitting skills, the ability to interpret fabrication drawings, and a commitment to producing high-quality, precision work in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components ranging from 12 gauge to 1-1/2" thickness .

  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble tanks, silos, frames, and heavy-duty structures according to blueprints and engineering drawings.

  • Use hand tools, cutting torches, grinders, and layout tools to prepare and finish weldments.

  • Conduct layout, measurement, and alignment of components to ensure dimensional accuracy.

  • Read and interpret welding symbols, fabrication drawings, and work orders accurately.

  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment (e.g., overhead cranes, plasma cutters, presses, shears, etc.) safely.

  • Inspect finished welds for quality and conformance to specifications.

  • Work collaboratively with engineering, QA/QC, and production teams to ensure project timelines are met.

  • Adhere to all safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures .

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 5 years of experience as a Welder, Fitter, or Fabricator in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong experience with tank, silo, and structural fabrication .

  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding (CWB or AWS certification preferred).

  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols .

  • Skilled in layout, fitting, and tack welding of large assemblies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and occasionally aluminum .

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a production environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality workmanship.

Preferred:

  • Experience in pressure vessel or ASME-certified fabrication environments.

  • Familiarity with CWB/AWS welding standards .

  • Forklift and overhead crane operation certification
