Position Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: New York, NY
Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel
Shift: Days (8*5)
Duration: 8 – Week Assignment
Hourly Pay: $60 to $65/hr
Weekly Pay: $2,250 to $2,437.50/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
Perform various radiologic procedures, including bone density scans, breast imaging, and general diagnostic exams.
Position patients and adjust equipment accurately to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
Explain procedures clearly to patients to ease anxiety and ensure cooperation.
Follow established safety and infection control policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures in patient and departmental records.
Monitor radiology equipment functionality; perform routine maintenance and report issues.
Manage radiology supplies inventory and request restocking when necessary.
Collaborate with medical staff and support personnel to provide high-quality patient care.
Participate in continuing education to meet CME requirements and maintain licensure.
Complete annual age-specific competency training.
Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T)
ARRT Certified (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Minimum 2 years of radiology experience
Experience in bone density, breast, and general radiology required
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
